I'm glad you made it!

I’m so glad you reached out because I truly believe in your ability to succeed. To name the unnameable. To climb that mountain. To achieve that goal. To heal. To recover. To process. To do what you’ve needed to do but thought was impossible. It all starts with reaching out. That first step can feel like the hardest, but you did it. And then you kept going. That truly is worth the celebration.

You might be skeptical – How can she be so enthusiastic? She doesn’t even know me

Well, I hope to. Also – I know what it’s like to feel skeptical. Unsure whether to trust. Like many of us, I too have been given plenty of reasons not to trust. And yet, through my own healing, and in having the honor to witness others’ healing – I know it’s possible.

This might be a good time to talk about post-traumatic growth. Though I never wish that others experience the trauma or hardship they’ve experienced, one really significant thing that can come from it is something called post-traumatic growth. Through experiencing trauma and hardship, we are presented with the opportunity to transform our struggle into strength. Research suggests this to be true and I’ve seen this in my work with so many.

I carry with me the deepest well of hope. In you. In our ability to create change. In knowing that deep, profound healing is possible. What hurts us, beats us down, makes us wonder if change can ever happen. Our hopelessness and helplessness can change. We can change.

So, I believe in you.

You are worthy of love and belonging.

And I so look forward to meeting you.
